Angie Martinez is recognized as one of the most influential personalities in popular culture and multi-media. Angie’s nearly twenty years of on-air hosting experience has led her to become the media trailblazer she is today: radio and TV host, New York Times best-selling author, spokeswoman, actress, recording artist, entertainment personality and philanthropist.

At the start of her career, Angie earned the respect and trust of some of the biggest names in music through her authentic and personable interviewing style. From famous early interviews with Tupac Shakur, The Notorious B.I.G. and Jay Z, to more recent interviews with top global icons such as Barack Obama, Spike Lee, Naomi Campbell and others, Angie is well respected and praised throughout the industry for her ability to connect with both guests and listeners.

Angie’s unique and authentic storytelling ability most recently landed her a development deal with global media company Endemol Shine, where is currently creating scripted and unscripted TV projects for traditional and digital platforms. She also serves as a Special Correspondent for Extra TV, where she has interviewed the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Robert DeNiro and more.

In May 2016, Angie released her memoir, My Voice (Celebra-Penguin Random House), where she detailed her climb to success in both radio and entertainment. The book quickly became a New York Times bestseller. Angie is also the author of Healthy Latin Eating, a cookbook in which she shares her love of healthy Latin cuisine.

In addition to her professional work across the media landscape, Angie is deeply interested and active in driving the conversations on women’s rights and criminal justice reform forward. She most recently moderated a panel on Criminal Justice Reform at The White House with former President Obama.
